Sensible Laguna was founded by civic minded residents who believe that a strong city and strong schools are mutually reinforcing.

We are a broad based coalition of residents and taxpayers, including parents, grandparents, former educators, business owners, and longtime community members.

We are all united by a commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and long term strength of our city and public schools.

Today, over 2,000 residents are signed up to receive our information and regularly engage.

Our involvement is limited to civic engagement in city government and the school district, which together represent the largest components of local property taxes.

Our role is that of engaged community members – asking questions, reviewing publicly available information, attending meetings, serving on committees, and advocating for thoughtful, accountable decision making.

We believe that a well informed, civically engaged community of people with diverse experiences and perspectives is one of the greatest assets our schools and city can have.
